Wayward Outpost Classes Hub
Every kit on Eleske—what it unlocks, when to play it, and where to read deeper guides.
Classes on Eleske Island
Wayward Outpost casts you as Eleskan National Guard (and later Greyt Marine) personnel holding a parasite-choked island together with trucks, radios, wrenches, and stubborn rifle fire. Classes are not cosmetic skins—they gate tools, spawn points, and the jobs that keep Alpha and Bravo alive. Reputation unlocks are permanent because Reputation never decreases. Some fantasy kits also wait for Day 40, when Marines arrive on the GRS Gainsboro and the Airfield crash storyline opens.
This hub is your roster map. Child guides:
- Marine — 1k Reputation, Day 40, boats, M91A, LAW, C-cell stockpiles
- Beginner Classes — Medic, Infantry, Engineer for new accounts
- Support Roles — Radioman, Support, Engineer logistics deep dive
- Civilian — Update 0.3 timed RP role, playable roughly Days 26–28 only
Meta placement lives on the Class Tier List inside the Tier List Hub. Infected answers are on Infected. First-hour habits belong in Getting Started.
How unlocks work
Open the class menu from the experience UI and spend the Reputation you have earned. Typical sources:
- Infected kills (about one Reputation per kill depending on context)
- Medic heals on allies
- Engineer toolkit upgrades and construction with materials
- Radioman supply call-ins (chunky payouts on a cooldown)
Because points never decay, every medic heal on a chaotic public server is progress toward Marine. You do not need promo codes—Wayward Outpost has no documented in-game code economy. Play the loop, or read why shortcuts are risky on the Scripts Hub.
Day counters start near Day 28. Hold M (per common community tips) to read the day. At Day 40, Marine and Crashed Pilot content come online and infected pressure near Alpha/APS can spike. Planning a Marine debut on a Day 32 server wastes an evening—check the day first.
Roster overview
S-tier anchors
Medic — Health viral for self (E) and teammates (click). Best new-player sustain and Reputation farm. Limited special-weapon pickup rules on some kits; still essential for Nest length fights.
Engineer — Toolkit upgrades, builds, wrench repairs for power outages at Bravo, APS, and Irueno Sub-Station. Mines and shotgun presence for base defense. Quietly decides whether the outpost still exists after a blizzard.
Radioman — Radio codes call materials/armaments airdrops on a multi-minute cadence. Pays Reputation while restocking the war. Backbone of Support Roles.
Marine — Endgame logistics combat hybrid. Gainsboro spawn, dinghy boats, requisition machine, M91A + launcher fantasy, LAW options, VP70 finishing power. Full guide: Marine.
A-tier specialists
Grenadier — Explosive swarm and structure pressure; Bloater worm cleanup partner.
Support — Ammo boxes that multiply Radioman value on Hellmouth/Hive marches.
CBRN — Mist-ready mindset and gear crafting path for Nest approaches.
Delta — Elite pickup access and high-skill loadouts for players who know weapon locations.
Anti-Tank — Dedicated Callous/Brute deletion when Gustav/LAW/NATIC answers are scarce.
Marksman — Overwatch, Screamer duty, approach control with tracker fantasy on the right loadouts.
B-tier workhorses
Infantry — Default Guardsman school. Learns roads, can leverage emplacement guns and M67/LAW tricks. Covered in Beginner Classes.
Cleaner — Interior cleanup and denial niche.
Automatic Rifleman — Suppression and defense lines; ammo hungry.
Situational
Crashed Pilot — Day 40 C-130 challenge fantasy. Fun after the logistics spine exists; not your first unlock target.
Civilian — Timed Update 0.3 roleplay kit available roughly Days 26–28 only. Great for lighthouse immersion and short RP nights; swap back to Guard classes when the outbreak curve hardens. Full guide: Civilian.

Recommended progression path
- Spawn, learn Alpha → road discipline → Bravo orientation via Getting Started.
- Main Medic or Infantry until you stop dying to Ulcer acid and Incisor flanks—study Infected.
- Add Engineer so you are useful during every outage.
- Unlock Radioman and run timed drops; duo with Support when friends are on.
- Farm toward 1,000 Reputation, wait for Day 40, then swap to Marine for Gainsboro boats and C-cell economies.
- Sprinkle Grenadier, Marksman, CBRN, Delta, or AT based on tonight’s objective—not as your only identity.

Pick a class that fills a hole in your lobby, not just the skin that looks coolest in the menu. Eleske rewards the wrench and the radio as much as the rifle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Eleske operations.
What should I unlock first?
Medic, Infantry, and Engineer. They teach the map, print Reputation, and keep bases alive before you chase Marine at 1,000 Reputation and Day 40.
Does Reputation go down if I die?
No. Reputation never decreases. Deaths waste time and supplies, but your unlock progress stays.
Where is the Marine class guide?
Open the Marine child page from this hub for Gainsboro boats, M91A, LAW, C-cell stockpiles, and requisition tips.
How do classes compare in the meta?
See the Class Tier List under Tier List. S-tier is Marine, Engineer, Medic, and Radioman on most servers.
Are there class unlock codes?
No documented promo codes. Unlock kits by earning Reputation and meeting Day 40 requirements where applicable.
